Happy Late New Year Caturday

Yes, I know this is a late Happy New Year, but we were otherwise occupied. We had a Retirement and Anniversary Party at the Oregon Garden Resort. My friend just retired and her brother and his wife celebrated an anniversary. The Oregon Garden is so beautiful any time of year, and we had a great time.  We dodged most of the expected rain. The garden already had Witch Hazel blooming.

And Camelias everywhere. The dinner was wonderful.  And the Christmas lights were magical.

In all we had a great time.  The best party was in our room with goodies and wine and good company.

Zoe Coming Out Of Hiding
Zoe Coming Out Of Hiding

Zoe and Raja weren’t happy with us going away. They never are. Zoe gave us a piece of her mind grumbling when we came home. I used the Lunapic Acid filter on this picture of her. I liked the light colors and the textures in this filter.

Happy Raja
Happy Raja

Raja was just glad we were back. He made a bee line to the back door and demanded to go out the minute we got back. But he was back very soon because of the rain, and climbed up on the coffee table just to be close. I used the Lunapic Delaunay filter with this one. I love the light dappled colors with this filter.

Here is the original picture of a Raja. He looks rather smug and happy we are back, don’t you think?

New Years Sunset
New Years Sunset

As usual, on New Year’s Eve we sat and watched TV, including fireworks at the Seattle Space Needle. And in the morning, we watched the Pasadena Rose Parade. Of course we had black eyed peas and spinach for good luck and money, and corn bread just because. The sky put on quite a show with this lovely sunset. No filter needed.

And for the New Year, I am working on a new look for this website.  Work still in progress.

Happy Late New Year Caturday, everybody!

  2. That sunset is incredible. No filter could make it better. We also like both art creations bunches. The first with Zoe was great as her eyes show up really well in the art. Sounds as if you had a great holiday. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  4. Happy Mew Year to all of you! I’m glad you had a nice vacation Miss Yael. My family went away for the holiday, too, so I totally understand where Zoe and Raja are coming from. I let Mom know that I wasn’t too happy with her for leaving me, but then she told me she missed me terribly, gave me pets and cuddles. All is good. Purrs!

  8. Zoe and Raja look wonderful! The blooms and the sunset are so pretty!

I watch the Rose Parade every year. My mom and grandparents are from Pasadena and it makes me feel close to them to watch.
