Andy Warhol-ish Kitties

I thought that Caturday Art is probably the best place to show off my Andy Warhol-ish kitties rather than Sunday Selfies. I used a website called BigHugeLabs.com with the Pop Art filter and just kept clicking the button until I found one I like. There are several other fun filters. I like the Hockney one. The website is free unless you want HD images. I used this site in the past with my gardening blog HomeGardenDiggers.com to make collages.

Raja And Mom
Raja And Mom

This is the real me with Raja up on my chest. He’s very pushy about getting up there and is most determined to make me put down my iPad or whatever else I am doing just to hold him. The other night I fell asleep watching tv without a kitty, only to wake up with him asleep on my chest.

Remember the video I made with Zoe, Raja, and a paper bag a few days ago. This is the still intro image I used for that. See Raja all multi-colored, Andy Warhol style? I think this filter is really cool. I must have clicked the magic button a dozen or more times to find color combinations I liked and then narrowed it down to this one.

And this is the real photo I took. Raja just laying there, trying to harass his sister, Zoe, inside the paper bag.

Psychedelic Zoe in really, really closeup. It is so hard to get good pictures of her beautiful eyes, but this one did it, even if it is all Andy Warhol-ish.

And the real photo of Zoe and her beautiful eyes. Too bad, I couldn’t get her ears in the picture, too. They are both beautiful.

I’m not only sharing this post with cat art Caturday Art, but still with Sunday Selfies and Macro Monday. I think the Zoe closeup qualifies for that, don’t you.

And just for fun, this is an old YouTube video I made of Raja’s very weird drinking habits for my gardening blog, HomeGardenDiggers.com. Many of us have kitties who drink out of the faucet, but do any of them, other than Raja, drink by licking their paw that is held under the faucet? Watch Raja do this in the video. Is that weird, or what?

    1. Thanks Ellen, and thanks for visiting. Big huge labs used to have a few more filters, but I still like to use them for the Warhol and Hockney effects.

  3. I love your artwork! And what could be better than a kitty that always wants to cuddle? Mudpie is like that but it’s getting too hot now 😦 I miss her always being on my lap like it was this winter.

    1. Thanks Athena and thanks for coming by. Big Huge Labs doesn’t have as many filters as they did a few years ago, but they do have the ones I always liked anyway.

  6. Love all the art you created, cool effects! Raja’s video is very cute! I drink tuna juice by sticking my paw in the bowl of tuna water and then licking it off my paw. Us kitties are so quirky, huh? Thank you for stopping by our blog today, it is nice to meet you! Purrs from Clooney…

    1. Thanks and thanks for stopping by. Re roses: we are in the northwest, which is very prone to fungal diseases. Despite best care, we can’t always stay in front of it. I actually got your rose food for my clematises, and used it this year for my roses. All of this reminds me I need to start pruning out some of the foliage on my tomatoes to aerate them. We are also very prone to late blight if I don’t. And we may or may not get tomatoes this year due to a very cool, wet spring.

  7. That is some super art, Yael. We love that Warhol effect, though we also think the original photos were awesome. 🙂

Raja’s sure enjoying that water, and he has a very unique way of drinking it. Our angel Moosey used to drink from the faucet, too, without a care in the world if the water was flowing right on his head. He also liked eating lettuce. Ha ha.

    1. Thanks and thanks for coming by. I had fun using th Warhol filter. You get some cool effects. Both of my kitties now drink from the faucet, as did one of my angel kitties, but Raja is the only one who drinks off his paw.
