What a lovely Thursday morning with a soft gentle rain nourishing the garden. There is lots to be thankful for for mommy and two rescue kitties, Zoe and Raja. Raja doesn’t think so.

Raja isn’t so grateful. The rain is cramping his style. But mommy is very happy he is likely to stay close to home today. Silly boy goes out in it and will come back sopping wet, but at least he won’t lie under shrubs all day.

Zoe is happy watching the rain from the comfort of her chair on the deck. She doesn’t agree with her silly brother.

And mommy is happy to sit on the deck watching the rain and drinking coffee. At least until it gets too cold to stay.

She put the pots out, so they can get watered. And later may go and work on a quilt.
Life is good! (But Raja is still disgusted.)
Our newbies Siman and Seal are thankful to not be out in the rain any more! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

And I am happy for them. It is so much better for kitties to have protection from the elements. We had an elderly, stray/semi feral kitty who adopted us. He loved being safe and warm and clean, and not outside except when he wanted to be.

Thanks and thanks for coming by. It has been very nice sitting in a dry spot watching the intermittent rain, even though Raja doesn’t think so, he has gone out and come in all day hoping each time will be different. Robert A Heinlein was right, cats keep searching for that Door into Summer.

The door into Summer… cats are eternal optimists.
It’s looking lush there because of the rain.
Happy Weekend – the rain has to stop sometime, Raja!

Thanks for stopping by. Yes, cats are optimists. I watch it all the time. When they don’t like the weather outside one door, they go to the next. Raja is a little happier today, so far. No rain right now, so he is happy.

All that rain is great for keeping everything green. Not so good for us kitties, though.
